Loreto College Mullingar

 The fundamental goal of Leaving Certificate Applied is to prepare pupils for the transition from the world of school to adult and working life. In this course, students develop communication and decision making skills so as to achieve a more independent and enterprising approach to learning and to life. The two year course is broken into four sessions. At the end of each session, work is assessed and credits given. This sets short term goals for the students.

Transition Year bridges the gap between Junior and Senior Cycles. The aim of Transition Year is to develop a sense of personal responsibility and provide a very good foundation for Leaving Certificate.
